CLEANING & DISINFECTION
CMI will always strives to provide a clean and safe environment for our customers and families. Below is a listing of the cleaning protocols and disinfection procedures to provide added piece of mind to our customers:
- A professional cleaning company has been hired to provide a Weekly deep cleaning of the facility to add to our already scheduled daily cleaning routines by CMI employees. This company will clean dirt, dust and debris from floors, counters and surfaces IN ADDITION TO our staff's daily cleaning routines.
- Vital-oxide hospital grade antiviral and antifungal disinfectant is used in all floor mop waters, sprayed onto all hard surfaces, soft surfaces, door handles, restroom facilities and other high touch/traffic areas after classes each week and throughout the day, as needed. This product kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses upon contact and then dissipates to prevent chemicals being absorbed through the skin.
- The entire facility (top to bottom) is treated every 90-days with an antimicrobial protectant which is US EPA certified to protect surfaces from viruses and bacteria for up to 90 days. This means that all dance mats, barres, floors, doors and any other surface is protected for multiple and repeated touches for up to 90 days. We will continue to have this treated applied every 60 DAYS to ensure complete coverage and treatment. When applied to a surface or incorporated into a material, BIOPPROTECT™ forms a covalent bond with the substrate and creates a microbiostatic antimicrobial coating. The coating forms a nano-bed shield of spikes (self assembling monolayer), each of which carry a positive charge that attracts the negatively charged bacteria. Once attracted, the molecular spikes pierce the cell and rupture its cell membrane, causing that bacterial microorganism to die.
- UVC (Ultraviolet-C) system has been purchased and will be used throughout the facility. These systems provide an ionized ultraviolet disinfection process which disinfects everything within the room within 30 minutes of operation. These specialized systems add electrically charged ions throughout the air, simultaneously acting as an air purifier and disinfection system, which means it disinfects everything the air touches – ceilings, walls, floors, carpets, couches, air ducts, clothing in retails spaces, etc. These systems also are chemical-less, which means we are using one of the highest levels of disinfection possible without chemicals that can be absorbed through the skin or cause negative health reactions for those with certain sensitivities. They DO however, create an unusual odor when in operation which takes an hour or two to dissipate, but provides the cleanest air possible outside of a hospital environment.
- UVC, Hepa, Ionized Air Purification system has been purchased and will be used constantly throughout the building to circulate and purify the air inside the building to remove odors, pollen, dust, allergens, mold, bacteria and viruses. This system will also help to remove some of the odors created by using the disinfection methods and chemicals mentioned above as well as provide cleaner air to breathe for all customers.
CMI has multiple restrooms with sinks and hand soap pumps throughout our facility and plenty of hand sanitizer throughout the facility and in each classroom. Children may either wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the building and upon entering/exiting their classroom.
CMI employees will always use good hygiene practices—wash hands, wipe surfaces, practice good respiratory etiquette when coughing or sneezing.
